Join us in a ceremony to ground, be still, and go deep amidst seasons of loss, uncertainty, difficulty or pain.
Grief is a multi-dimensional energy, emotion, and experience that can break your heart and reconnect you with yourself and life, all at once.
Through tea ceremony, guided meditation, and embodied expression practice, this event will support you as you:
connect to your body,
process and release any emotions that arise, and
receive any intuitive messages or wisdom that you are ready to receive.
THIS IS A SPACE TO WELCOME REST AND REJUVENATION, AS WELL AS RENEWED VITALITY, JOY, AND CREATIVITY.
You will be met and supported exactly where you are on your journey and guided into discovery of what’s emerging through your process.
This event is open to everyone, but will be especially supportive for you if you:
~ are on a grief journey or in a transitional space (grieving a relationship, the death of a loved one, or an old identity; transitioning between jobs, careers or homes; living with illness or the illness of a loved one; postpartum, fertility struggles, pregnancy or child loss, etc…)
~ are in a liminal or void space in your life, not who you once were but not yet who you’re becoming
~ feel like you’re giving a lot to others (mothering, service, caretaking, space-holding for others in your life or job) and are desiring a space to deeply be and receive
~ are feeling busy and burnt out and are desiring dedicated time to slow down, drop into stillness, and hear your body’s wisdom
FOR THIS EVENT, YOU WILL NEED:
1) Hot water for tea ceremony (enough for 3 cups of tea in a kettle, pot or thermos)
2) A small handful of high-quality, organic loose leaf tea leaves (see recommendations below)
3) A cup or small bowl that you love.
For the most potent tea ceremony experience, Melina highly suggests purchasing a high quality, loose-leaf living tea (wild-grown, beyond organic teas sourced from China) such as Gateway of Spirit from Living Tea or, if you are sensitive to caffeine, Disco or Moonlight White from Global Tea Hut. When ordering, please allow ample time for shipping!
If traditional tea or caffeine isn’t desired or accessible, you’re welcome to use an herbal loose leaf tea or a homemade infusion. You can make your own infusion by slicing up some lemon, ginger, and fresh mint (or other herb) and adding it to hot water. However, the living teas recommended above are extremely high quality and their qi (energy) is an important part of the ceremony. If you are sensitive to caffeine, Disco has been aged for many decades and has extremely low caffeine levels, and Moonlight White is a white tea which is a type of tea with lower caffeine levels. You can also use fewer leaves!
